Yann
Quilfen

Passionate about windsurfing just like his idol Robby Naish, Yann books a one-way ticket to Hawaii and the mythical Ho’okipa Beach at the age of 19. A few years later, he crosses paths with Robby, who offers him a professional contract. For 10 years, Yann makes a living from his passion and participates in the world circuit.

Suffering from back pain, he discovers acupuncture, and everything clicks. The Breton ends his windsurfing career and returns to France with a degree in Oriental medicine from the University of San Diego to open his own practice. Now a proud team member of F-ONE and MANERA, Yann has however never totally given up on watersports and is hooked on SUP and foiling.

Foiling has been a new way to change my not-so-great sessions into amazing ones. The ability to go very fast in small waves allows me to maximize the waves on the spots near me.

You just won the lottery, what would you do first?

I organize a huge surf trip with my family and all my friends in a great location.

Favorite expression?

Take care of yourself.
