Fernando
Growing up near São Paulo in Brazil, Fernando "Mizo" Novaes has always dreamed of flying above the water. Attracted by the endless possibilities foiling offered, he was eager to learn and immediately hooked to the sport.
What he loves most is to shred and connect several waves, silently and with speed.

Mizo Interview
Can you tell us a bit more about your passion for foiling?
Foiling has brought a whole new way of enjoying the waterworld. There is no comparable sensation to when we ride fast, frictionless and silently.
You just won the lottery, what would you do first?
That’s a good one! Definitely keep working hard, invest, triple the money, help people, buy a sailboat, and live a simple life enjoying the lifestyle I love.
What’s the most amazing thing you’ve experienced?
To witness my daughter's birth and to foil 6-minute waves in Chicama in Peru.
What are you doing during a day without waves?
I do some physical training, study, enjoy time with my family.
