Malo
Jouanneau
A child of the waves, Malo knew how to surf before he could even swim. As a result, the teenager has already been surfing for more than 10 years. Hailing from western Brittany in France, he loves roaming his local coast searching for the next wave with his group of friends and fellow surfers, no matter the weather or the time of year.
Mentored by Ian Fontaine, another MANERA athlete and emblematic Breton surfer, Malo is undoubtedly an up-and-coming talent on the French surfing scene.

I've loved surfing since I was four years old, and I've been surfing with floaties before I even knew how to swim. I do a lot of surfing with my family but also with my friends. I love the feeling of being able to laugh and surf at the same time.
You just won the lottery, what do you do first?
I go on a boat trip in the Mentawai Islands with my buddies.
What’s the most amazing thing you’ve experienced?
Surfing during sunset at 11:00 pm in June in Brittany!
.
What do you do with your day when there are no waves?
I skateboard, I go hand out with my friends, or I play video games.
