Boutin

Living in Brittany, Lola couldn’t resist the call of the wind and the waves. A quintessential waterwoman, she loves to spend time in and around the water, whether it’s surfing, kitesurfing, wing foiling, walking on the beach with her family or cleaning up her local spot. Fully content and thankful of the life she lives, she views each moment on the water as a magical experience.

Lola Interview

Can you tell us more about your passion for kitesurfing?

I have always wanted to kitesurf, especially living in Brittany as it is often (very) windy. I started freeriding around my 20s and then took up wave riding around 25-26. Since I also love surfing, I get the best of both world.

You just won the lottery, what do you do first?

I don't think I need anything, but why not buy a sailboat to travel? I would give the rest to charities that campaign against hunger, or those that fight for universal access to health care and housing, and for ocean conservation.

What is the most incredible thing that you have experienced?

There are two of them that I can think of. Driving around Australia in a 4x4 for a year and building our own house from A to Z.

“Now that there are three of us, the sessions are rarer but so much more magical!”

What do you do with your day when there is no wind?

I go surfing or foiling. If I'm not in the water, I spend time with my daughter, cook, take care of my vegetable garden, or work on my house.
