Justin
Chanet
It’s hard to say what Justin loves most: surfing or eating pizza.
Born in Paris, he discovered the sport thanks to many family holidays at his grandparents’ house in Hossegor. Between school and then eventually working in sound design for advertising, he could only surf during his vacations from the age of 7 until 28.
Missing the waves too much, he finally said bye to the French capital to move to the Vendée region. Now working as a surf instructor, he also likes to devour pizza and spend time with his family, teaching his daughter to surf.
STAY A PIZZA LOVER.
La Grande Plage in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, France.
A powerful down carve or a big top turn.
Alley-oop
You always feel better after a session no matter the conditions, you can empty your head, and it’s easier to justify eating pizza right after!
Mikey February, Ethan Ewing, Craig Anderson
Pizzas, in pairs of course
Justin Interview
What’s the most amazing thing you’ve experienced?
Three barrels on the same wave in Tahiti. And honestly, mellow long beach days with my family; these are the best.
What do you do with your day when there are no waves?
There is always a wave to ride if you have the right gear. But if it's totally flat, then I go for a nice paddling session.
