Juliette
Lacome
Born in Biarritz, Juliette discovered surfing at 8 and quickly made waves, winning her first contest at 12. After successful years on the competitive circuit, injuries and overseas trips gave her time to reflect.
She found a new love for the sport through free surfing, as she reconnected with the pure joy of riding waves without constraints. Juliette is also passionate about inspiring the next generation of women surfers, passing on the knowledge she received from her own role models in the hopes of encouraging more girls to fall in love with the sport.

Juliette Interview
Can you tell us a bit more about your passion for surfing?
I knew I wanted to be a pro surfer the moment I won my first contest. I fell in love with the sport and, even though I went through a lot of ups and downs for the past few years, surfing is like a therapy to me. It has made me who I am today.
You just won the lottery, what would you do first?
Buy a house for my mom and get myself a jet ski.
What’s the most amazing thing you’ve experienced?
Towing in for the first time at Jaws.
What are you doing during a day without wave?
I usually do a workout, hang out with my friends, read a book or clean my place.
