Jack
Ho

Linking one bump of windswell to the next off the coasts of the Hawaiian Islands, Jack Ho can often be found on his foil, hovering above the ocean, with a giant smile on his face. For him, nothing beats a day on the water with his friends, downwinding for hours on end or ripping on the spots of Oahu.

Born in Hawaii and with Waikiki as his backyard, it was only a matter of time until he discovered surfing. He learned at five and was immediately hooked. Eight years later, he took up foiling and has since become a world-class downwind foiler.

Can you tell us a bit more about your passion for foiling?

I started in 2018 at age 13. I saw other people foiling at my local surf spot, so I wanted to give it a try. My dad bought me a $600 set-up from the local shop and from there, it took off! My passion and interest continued to grow, and it will forever fuel my drive to be the best I can in the ocean.

What is the most incredible thing that you have experienced ?

Growing up in Hawaii and being surrounded by friends, family, and my heroes. It is something that is so special for me and I will never take it for granted.

What do you do with your day when there is no wave or swell ?

I really like to go fishing on the off days. I’ll go take out my jetski for hours and try to catch some fish for dinner.
