A world champion bodysurfer, Fred and his achievements are well-known in the industry. He is passionate about the ocean, nature and adventure. He makes the most of his twofold abilities as an athlete and a lifeguard by being Justine Dupont's "best partner in crime".

In situations where the risk gauge is at its highest, his calm remains his strong point! If everything were easy, it would be much less enjoyable. Fred needs strong and powerful conditions to have any kind of fun.

Can you tell us a bit more about your passion for surfing?

More than surfing, I love to be in the water and in the waves, whether it's on a surfboard, swimming, diving , driving a jet... Swimming led me to livesaving, which introduced me to bodysurfing and then surfing later on. Now, I experience a little bit of everything with big-wave surfing, which is great.

You just won the lottery, what would you do first?

I'd start projects around environmental protection. Otherwise, I'd also like to help improve safety in big-wave surfing, especially in Nazaré.

What’s the most amazing thing you’ve experienced?

Living from my passion, dreaming of new projects, setting them up, making them happen and sharing them with people I like!

What are you doing on a day without waves?

Right now, I'm spending a lot of time on the computer developing our YouTube channel with Justine. We frequently post videos that we direct, film and edit on our own and it takes quite a while. It's really interesting and we've got some busy days ahead!
